Who we are

tatts.ai is built and operated by Artificial Heights LLC, an AI technology company. We build practical AI products, and this one exists because the gap between “I want a tattoo” and “I know exactly what I want” is where most people stall for months. We think that gap should cost nothing to cross.

How the AI works

When you type an idea, we turn it into a structured prompt tuned for tattoo flash — clean linework, high contrast, isolated on a plain background so it reads like something an artist would actually hand you, not a wallpaper render. That prompt runs through a diffusion image model (a FLUX-family model served on our own GPU infrastructure). The results come back in seconds, and you can iterate as many times as you like.

The try-on tool is different: it runs entirely in your browser using the HTML canvas. Your skin photo is never transmitted to us — positioning, blending, and export all happen on your device.

Who owns the designs

You do. Any design generated on tatts.ai belongs to the person who generated it. Download it, modify it, take it to any artist, get it inked, sell prints of it — we claim no ownership and require no attribution. We only ask that you don't pass off the platform itself as your own.

Why it's free

The site is supported by advertising. That model keeps the generator, the galleries, the try-on tool, and the print sheets free for everyone, with no account and no locked features. If we ever add paid extras, the core promise stays: designing your tattoo will not cost you money here.

A note on artists

tatts.ai is not a replacement for tattoo artists — it's the step before them. A generated design is a brief: your artist will adapt it to your anatomy, refine linework for how ink actually sits in skin, and make it permanent-worthy. If you're an artist, we're building a directory to send these clients your way.
